Every space is embellished with objects of great beauty, from antique water bottles and copper pots to the gorgeous collection of handmade Kashmiri silk and woolen carpets with vintage Persian style designs. Walking barefoot around the boat is a treat for your feet!
There is definitely a woman's touch to the decor of this gem of a houseboat. Purple cushions fill the lounge area with an uplifting and regal atmosphere that is somewhat more feminine than the other boats.
Haifa also boasts an upstairs suite - a second story - another unusual feature of this boat. Impossibly private and romantic, the double room with ensuite commands wonderful views to watch sunset over Hari Parbat and the distant snowcapped Pir Panjal ranges from the rooftop deck.
Heritage features include the gable windows and Embroided crewel curtains so distinct to Kashmir.
Located in Golden Lake, a busy area of Dal Lake, this is a sociable and spacious option with wonderful meals and superb Kashmiri hospitality and 24 hour service.
