Nanga Parbat, named after the 9th highest mountain in the world, and at the grand old age of 85 years is one of the oldest and last of the classic Heritage style houseboats. Formally named Rowallan, it has a rich and colourful history and featured in 'The Secret Children' where there is an old photograph of the original boat.

Adorned with intriguing and beautiful antiques of Kashmir and the distinct gable roof detailed with coloured glass make a stay here a classic Kashmiri experience.

The sensational rooftop, complete with red gingham tablecloths, potted garden and good old fashioned service that gives a sense of old world charm from perhaps the 50's.

Uninterrupted views to Shankaracharya Temple and hill across the still Dal Lake waters teem with vibrant colourful Shikaras and waterskiing makes this houseboat a sociable and lively accomodation option.

The rooms are draped in the traditional Crewel embroidered curtains that are famously from Kashmir. With only 3 spacious rooms complete with ensuites,  you can guarantee it wont be too crowded!
